As well as having our Sunday Services availble on YouTube, we are also discovering new ways to ‘meet’ in a ‘socially distant’ way so that we can continue to ‘be church’ whilst staying home to support the NHS and save lives.

Due to concerns regarding the spread of Coronavirus the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have asked all churches to close our buildings.
However, prayer and worship continue in homes across the parish.

Welcome
Welcome to St Edward’s Church, Eggbuckland – a family-loving parish church serving the communities of Eggbuckland, Estover, Leigham, Derriford and everywhere between! If you live in the area or are just passing through we’d love to meet you. Our main service on Sunday is at 9.30 am at St Edward’s or check out our monthly service for all ages at 11.15 am.

Whilst in the second national lockdown public worship is not possible but online worship on a variety of platforms will continue. It is possible to enter the church for private prayer and times of the openings will be published shortly
Join us for our main service at 9.30am or try out our monthly 11am service for All Ages. Looking for something quieter? – why not come along to our 6.30pm reflective prayer service.
Children, Youth, Families and Baptisms/Christenings
Activities for young people and families are limited. During the second lockdown (Nov 5th- Dec 2nd)
Our parent and toddler group, Eddybears, is happening;
Baptisms are unable to take place.

DUE TO CONCERNS AROUND THE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS – ALL EVENTS ARE POSTPONED, CANCELLED OR OCCURING REMOTELY (I.E. USING FACEBOOK/ZOOM OR OTHER PLATFORM)
Throughout the year we have a range of activities, events and socials for both the wider community and church members – find out our next events and come along – you will be most welcome
Responding to COVID-19 Concerns
Though Public Worship is suspended – the church is still active, looking for new ways to worship God and serve our community
Venue Hire
During this second national lockdown there are only limited activities that are permissible within the halls – PLEASE CONTACT JULIAN PAYNE 344 632 FOR MORE DETAILS
We manage two church halls to provide community spaces across the parish. If you would like to use these spaces for your event, family gathering or community group we would be really pleased to hear from you.
Weddings & Baptisms
Amidst the current concerns around COVID-19, Weddings and Baptisms cannot take place. Please get in touch for more information or to discuss this further
