After nearly 600 years, St Edwards is finally getting a toilet installed! Obviously our forebears were in better control of their bladders, or maybe they were more at ease with ‘fertilising’ the graveyard.
Anyway, work started this week with the all too obligatory health and safety notices. How did they manage in the reign of Henry VI without brightly coloured barriers?
Work is due to end in May, when we will all be able to ‘spend a penny’.
