As a Christian community, St Edward’s Church aspires, as Jesus calls us, to be ‘One family in Christ… for all the family: Loving, Serving, Growing’ – a church family, where all can belong and be known: older members of our community, the young, those in between, singles, families, teenagers and children.
We aim to be a Loving church: where each person is respected, valued and cherished and is encouraged to reach out in love to others.
We aim to be a Serving church: where we encourage each to get involved in serving God, one another and our community
We are a Growing church: we recognise that as Christians we are always growing in our faith, trust and holiness and as a church want to encourage one another in this growth as well as reach out to others with the life-changing news of Jesus.
National Strategies and Accountability:
We are working to become a ‘safe’ Church though our Safeguarding practice and policy.
As part of our stewardship responsibility we are working towards being an Eco Church and are working with A Roche to develop this. In 2016/7 we were awarded a Bronze award in recognition of our approach so far.
We are working toward becoming a Fairtrade Church and a Dementia Friendly Church
We endeavour to be fully transparent in terms of Data Protection and the current legislation known as GDPR has been adopted
