Peninsula Gospel Partnership Central to the work of the Peninsula Gospel Partnership is the PGP Training Course. This is a part-time course which uses a mixture of lectures, interactive seminars and workshop groups to equip Christians in Devon and Cornwall to teach the Bible in a variety of contexts. The course is for anyone who is involved with teaching the Bible: ministry trainees, youth leaders, pastoral assistants, women’s workers, small group leaders, lay readers and preachers and those considering full-time Christian ministry. Students begin on the Foundation Year, which lasts for 30 weeks, starting in September. During this course students will learn how to handle and teach different types of Biblical literature as they study a Bible overview and Bible books in detail. Teaching skills are honed in the small group workshop sessions, and the course also includes a ‘ministry skills and issues’ stream. Students whose ministry involves regularly giving talks or sermons can continue to study with PGP on the second year programme. For other students they are able to recommend further training with a number of different organisations. For full details about the courses: http://pgponline.org/index.php?
