Fees for Funerals and Monuments in the churchyard

Fees are set nationally and are statutory. There are also some local fees that are charged when appropriate. When a Funeral is arranged the funeral director will contact the church administrator and an invoice is issued with the appropriate fees.

As an example, the below scenarios give an indication of the pricing (individual services may vary):

A Funeral service in church followed by burial in the churchyard                                £569

A Funeral service in church followed by burial or cremation elsewhere                        £308

The church element of a service at a crematorium only                                             £178

Interment of cremated remains in the churchyard                                                    £189

Fees for Monuments:

Monuments must be within the Chancellors regulations or a faculty needs to be obtained. Below are the fees payable to the Church for the following monuments:

Tablet to commemorate interment of cremated remains                                             £67

Additional inscription on existing monument (subject to regulations)                            £25
