Sunday Services at St Edward’s

9.30am             Holy Communion

A more formal and traditional-style service with Holy Communion. The Church family gathered in praise and prayer, reflecting on God’s Word as it is preached and receiving his grace and strength through Holy Communion. Refreshments shared together after the service. All welcome.

[If you are not used to experiencing Holy Communion services, you are very welcome to discuss this with one of the ministers who will be pleased to answer any questions and support in any way]

11am                Quest

A new Family-friendly, accessible service for any age or experience of church. Contemporary worship, relevant preaching and a warm welcome await. Come and join the journey!

Quest meets in the Church Hall (across the road from the Church) except on the 3rd Sunday of a month when there is a Baptism and we welcome our newest members in the larger setting of the Church building.

6.30pm             Evening Prayer

A reflective way to end a Sunday and begin the working week. A variety of styles and liturgies are used to help encourage contemplation, reflection and prayer. Check weekly notices/magazine for further details.

Getting Involved….

Our Sunday services offer lots of opportunity for participation through serving one another through:

  • the Choir and musical groups,
  • refreshments team,
  • welcome team and sidesmen (who also help with ‘collections’),
  • distributing communion,
  • leading intercessions
  • reading the Bible
  • Children’s ministry and Creche etc.
