operation christmas child

Today, 96 shoeboxes were delivered to St, Budeaux Methodist Church for the Operation Christmas Child appeal. They were full of toys, hats, gloves, sweets, pens & notebooks for delivery to children in need in other countries. They were donated by kind people at St edwards church, St. Edwards School & the Eddy Bears toddler group.

Messy Light Party

        The combined churches of St. Edward’s, Eggbuckland, St Cecilia’s, Roborough and Christ Church, Estover are offering a Messy Church and Light Party as a positive alternative event to Halloween.  Held at St Edward’s Church, Eggbuckland on Saturday 31 Oct 4-8pm. Harvest at St Edwards

We had a visit from Olly the Orangutan, with yet more bananas, and Chris again ‘tries’ to tell a joke: Chris spoke to us on the theme of Harvest based on Matthew 6: v25-33 – “Don’t Worry” Our harvest offering is going to North Plymouth Food Bank where it will be distributed as required.

Living Churchyard notice board

So, a few days after the official ‘opening’ of the living church yard project…..the long-promised notice board arrived.

Between the two morning services the kitchen team made bacon butties for all. Thank you for your had work – enjoyed by all.     

Living Churchyard Launch

Saturday 26th September saw the offical launch of our Living Churchyard in which we formally declared our intentions to protect and encourage the wildlife, flora and fauna. The churchyard was prayed over and blessed by Bishop Nick McInnell, and he cut a green ribbon around the old yew Tree by the door of the church.…

New ministry team members

It is hard to believe it has been over two weeks since out new team members joined us.  Rev Carl Budden is our new curate, and Libby Marsh is the new Children and Families worker.  They have already been kept very busy, and have had no time to let the grass grow under them!
