Sunday Services at St Edward’s
9.30 am Morning Worship
A welcoming, friendly but more formal-style service usually with Holy Communion. The Church family gathered in praise and prayer, reflecting on God’s Word as it is preached and receiving his grace and strength through Holy Communion. Refreshments shared together after the service.
[If you are not used to experiencing Holy Communion services, you are very welcome to discuss this with one of the ministers who will be pleased to answer any questions and support in any way]
11:15 am Service for All Ages (monthly)*
Family-friendly, accessible service for any age or experience of church. Contemporary worship, relevant preaching, and a warm welcome await. We usually welcome baptism families through this service. We look forward to meeting you!
*this is usually on the 3rd Sunday each month but changes at times to best fit with seasonal events. Check diary, events or facebook for dates.
6.30pm Evening Prayer
A reflective way to end a Sunday and begin the working week. A variety of styles and liturgies are used to help encourage contemplation, reflection, and prayer. Check weekly notices/magazine for further details.
Children & Youth at St Edward’s
Children are welcome at all of our services but we especially aim to cater for children and youth during our 9.30 am and 11 am services as well as offering services and activities specifically for particular ages and stages.
During the 9.30 service…
Children can go out into the vestry during part of the service to take part in mixed age group fun activities supported by DBS-checked children’s team leaders. Toys and quiet activities are also available to use in the pews – please just ask one of our welcome team.
During the 11am service…
This service is designed to be more accessible for the whole family but there will also be some toys and quiet activities to use in pews as well as interactive parts of the service for everyone to take part in. At the front of the church on the right, there is a carpeted area where small children can play with some toys when supervised by a parent.
60 Watts: Sundays during term time 5.30-6.30 pm for ages 7-16 [KS2-4] (Church Hall)
